Overview
Journal of Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute, first published in October 1984, is an applied scientific academic journal (monthly) approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, governed by the Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, and sponsored by the Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute (CRSRI). Originally named Journal of Changjiang Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, the journal was renamed to its current title in 1987, following the institute's name changed to Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute.
Publication Scope
The journal adheres to the principle of serving economic development through science and technology, and the scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts. It publishes academic papers and review articles covering the full spectrum of water science disciplines, with a focus on water resources development, utilization and protection, and large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects in the Changjiang (also known as the Yangtze) River Basin (CRB). It also presents research achievements from major national public welfare projects related to the CRB, including water resources and environment, soil and water conservation, ecological construction, and flood control and disaster mitigation.
Most of the published articles are related to large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects in the CRB, such as the Three Gorges, Gezhouba, Gaheyan and Shuibuya projects on the Qingjiang River, the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, major embankment projects of the Changjiang River, as well as research on resources, environment, ecology and disasters in the CRB.

Aims
The journal aims to advance water conservancy science, promote scientific and technological exchange, facilitate the transformation of scientific research findings, and serve the water conservancy and hydropower development in the CRB.
