Application of GPS in Deformation Monitoring Control Network for Bailianhe Pumped Storage Station

Abstract

The authors observed the deformation monitoring network for Bailianhe pumped storage station through  georobot and GPS technology. The control network was firstly observed by georobot with onboard deformation monitoring automatic observation system. The observation efficiency and the quality of results were reduced by atmospheric temperature distribution. Furthermore, GPS technology, for its all-weather operation, uniform 3-D information, and high efficiency, was employed to observe the deformation monitoring control network. Through comparison in terms of observation side length, point error and position difference, we found that the observation results by GPS technology and georobot were consistent. The measurement of GPS technology meets the accuracy requirement of second-order deformation monitoring control network and has good practical application prospects.
