Calibration of Ship Model Maneuverability Based on VDMS

Abstract

This paper presents a method for the calibration of navigable ship model maneuverability based on VDMS (Velocity Distribution Measuring System) in association with self-programming software. The calibration restrictions could be effectively reduced by VDMS. Ship model case for Xiangjiang river navigability proved that the method could offer reliable evaluation of maneuverability.
