They have greatly changed the regional ecological environment. In this paper we summarized the influence of hydropower project on ecological environment in six aspects. Moreover, we took two representative projects of slope ecological restoration in the disturbance area of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Project as examples, and expounded the application of restoration ecology to slope ecological protection. By using two different technologies (to grow plants among concretes and to spray thick base materials) of slope ecological restoration and taking artificial control measures, the ecological landscape effect is obvious and the slope is well restored.
