%X An expert group organized by Yangtze River Scientific Research Institute from different research fields  investigated the entire Jinsha River in 2013. According to the overall investigation and some typical photographs  of the upper and lower reaches of Jinsha River, the features of  climate, logical environment, river morphology, hydropower station construction and impact of human activity on Jinsha River were analyzed. Problems and countermeasures for the development and protection of Jinsha River were put forward. Moreover, some scientific problems which need further research and investigation were proposed. This paper could be a reference for the future development and conservation of Jinsha River.
