Evaluation of reservoir bank stability is very important in engineering construction and landslide disaster control. In order to avoid the deficiency of the fixed index weights of traditional comprehensive evaluation, a new evaluation method for slope stability based on dynamic weight is proposed. First, the index system and grading criterion for reservoir bank slope are established; second, the index objective weight and subjective weight are calculated by integrating simple relevance  function and analytic hierarchy process(AHP), hence the dynamic synthetic weight, which varies with the index characteristic values, is determined by synthesizing the index objective weight and subjective weight; finally, by introducing the theory of variable fuzzy sets, the evaluation method for reservoir bank stability using multi-level variable fuzzy sets based on dynamic weight is presented. With this method, the stability of Zhoujiapo landslide under three different water level drawdown velocities is evaluated, and the evaluation results are validated by means of limit equilibrium method. The results show that the new method based on dynamic weight is simple and practical, and it gives more reasonable results which correspond to the actual projects than the traditional method does.  
